-Tanalog-

A 26-year-old office worker who operates seven food accounts with the motto "I like to have meals and sake three times a day."

She appears in all sorts of places in search of gyoza, curry, and sake.

She publishes zines such as "Just right, just right", "Gaishoku Revolution", and "Maru Sankaku Machi Chuka". She also sells original goods on the theme of food.

―――I know there was a time when it was difficult to eat out during COVID, how did you feel at that time?

I wanted to do what I could to help, so I would go to my favorite restaurants for take-out. But I felt like I was powerless....... However, the people who love food were all saying that we should at least continue to buy takeout from our favorite restaurants.

―――How long have you been doing the creative work?

In April of 2018, there was an event called "TINYZINE" where young creators and artists got together and sold zines, and I thought, "That sounds interesting," and my foodie friends and I got together. So we started making zines.

―――And that's when it all started?

That's when I first encountered zines, during TINYZINE. It was probably around 2018 that zines became a boom. People are making them for the first time, and you see them all the time on social media. I thought it would be cool to see people giving form to the things they love, so I started making zines. T The first zine I made was called "Just right, just right." I wanted to introduce things that I thought were good in my own way and things that made me feel comfortable, along with the city and the food.

――― What is your motif?

It's food and the rest is intuition. But lately, I like the jumbled feeling rather than the washed-out feeling. It's messy, but it's coherent and colorful. I like that kind of feeling. Rather than beautiful food, I like food that is full of color, brown, but with character. I feel like I've been posting a lot of that kind of thing on social media.

Created three Instagram accounts for food.

“Osake”

“Gyoza”

“Curry”

―――What kind of process do you use to make a zine?

At first, the theme for each zine just comes to mind, and I start from there. for TINYZINE, the zine about walking around the city, I was walking around Nakano station, and I found a zine called "slightly nice Ichibangai". A little bit nice. I liked that. It made me feel warm and it made me want to go there. So I thought I'd like to record things that are a little nice and just right, and that's how I started. I also made a zine because I felt that if I didn't post this store somewhere on social media, there would be stores that would close without being picked up by anyone. So I guess the theme comes first.

After that, I'd start with the photos I've taken so far. If there's a restaurant I want to go to, I may go there, but basically, I make the current zine from my memories, from the past rather than the present.
